I Feel The Rain

As I sit here listening to the rain, I think of how something that used to seem scary when I was child now symbolizes the refreshing waters sent from the Lord. The rain is necessary. In life, we will experience dark clouds, thunderous moments and even lightning. These seasons may cause worry, doubt, even fear. But I want to remind you today that there is no need to do either. The storms of life will surely come. Some seasons will be tougher than others but we serve a God who wraps us safely in His arms and sends us His refreshing waters.

The word of God tells us:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God  who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations” (Deuteromomy 7:9).

“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

As I have been faithfully praying and sowing and asking God to send the rain in every area of my life, I have no fear when I hear the thunder rolling or see the lightning flashing. I’ve never experienced dark clouds or thunder like I have in this season but I’ve also never known such a cleansing, refreshing and growth like this either. The rain cleanses me. The rain is refreshing and giving me new life. The rain is allowing tremendous spiritual growth like none other.

I am encouraged by the Word:

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” Malachi 3:10

“They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts; He made water flow for them from the rock; He split the rock, and water gushed out.” Isaiah 48:21“I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26-26

I weap with my brothers and sisters who have lost loved ones; I pray for my brothers and sisters who need healing; I praise God for the lives that have been spared and the healing of so many; I praise God for the internal/spiritual healing (including mine) that’s occurring from the inside and moving outward.

As I look at so many people who ready themselves “to get back to normal”, I pray for them. I praise God that He gives me wisdom and clearly has done something new in me. I am not rushing back into the chaos of the world. The Lord is sweeping this land and cleansing us. He is moving mightily. Life itself has changed and I have been changed for the better. There is a great awakening occurring amongst the Body of Christ. We are more connected to God and other Christians in this season like never before and there’s no turning back. When He speaks, we must listen and obey and because we love Him, we will surely obey.

We’ve been praying. We’ve been crying. We’ve been sowing and God has sent the rain. I feel the rain. I feel the refreshing waters falling on me and my loved ones and I hope you feel them as well. If you haven’t experienced them yet, keep praying and keep sowing and know that God is pouring out blessings. I give God glory for this season of purification and refreshing. Stand on His promises and walk with me into our destinies. Eyes haven’t seen nor have ears heard of the blessings that are planned for our lives. I trust God, even when it’s not easy and I will trust Him until the day I die.

Stay encouraged as we keep pressing forward. May the Lord’s peace and grace be with you.

Sincerely,

Tameka
